30 IVs vs 31 IVs

I noticed that on 50 lvl 30 and 31 ivs or both giving +15 IV to a stat so why is it that important to have 31 if they give the same IVs?

It will only ever really matter on Speed,because by fully training Speed EVS with an IV of 30 you'll be missing a point,and that point could cost you the battle.

But how i ll'be missing a point since it gives +15 Ivs in both cases?

31 gives more when you invest EVs in them

You get the +from EVs but also +from IVs (and +/- from nature)

Basically what Suigin said above but I'll specify one more thing:

 

If you have 31 IV, the first 4 EVs will give 1 stat point to your stat. If you have 30 IV, the first 8 EVs will give your first stat. Because 252 is not divisible by 8, this means that if you go for 252 EV investment you can only reach max stat with 31 IV. So as mentioned, 30 and 31 IV are only equal when investing no EVs on the stat.

If you dont put any EV in for example sp def. you can also use 30 iv in sp def at lvl 50, its the same as 31 IV, it only matter here when you give it ev's ( i think lol )
