How does Co-Op work?

I'm just wondering cause i was playing with my gf and is it only in certain events or like can we only Co-Op double battles I've been gone for a while so I'm not sure

yes for coop just in Hoenns battle frontier , or maybe in next events like halloween or christmas

For now, those are the only things you can do in links. I'm sure there's tons of co-op features coming for the game someday in the future though
