JustAsking23
I have a lvl 62 Vileplume, and im trying to teach my smeargle to learn sweet sent from a wild smeargle, but the wild one lvl 45-49 always goes first! I also tried doubles battle but my smeargle lvl 42 also always goes first for some reason. So what lvl do I have to get my Vileplume to so it will go first? razimove
have you considered speed ties? Also, why dont you catch one, then you teach him? Edited May 1, 2019 by razimove Link to comment
Lin
You can maybe try investing in some Speed EV's on the Vileplume e.g. horde training, or try using a held item such as Choice Scarf or use a battle item such as the X Speed. Link to comment

PokeNoob
have a different pokemon as your first, find a wild oddish, switch out smeargle, let the oddish use sweet sent, sketch it, problem solved! Link to comment

Matoka
Alternatively when attempting to have wild smeargle sketch a move by going first you can use a Choice Scarf if the pokemon is struggling to outspeed the wild Smeargle, it will increase its speed stat by 50%. Link to comment
