We were friends?!

Yup we were friends for a whole day to schedule our psl match. Then I used linoone for the 3rd and last time that psl and you complimented me on how skillful I was when it swept. Not sure if I’m still blocked but I was at the time

dw tho I’ve grown since then, you’ve inspired me to not use linoone as often, so started winning without it to strive to regain your friendship :)

If you made it to the finals three times, that pretty much implies these tournaments were not competitive at all...

thats kinda funny because you were actually in one of these https://pokemmostaff.challonge.com/StandardDoubles# and got first rounded. takes a lot of courage to call yourself shit im proud of you.

other two if anyone cares to take a look.

Exactly, if I was a participant in a 32 players dubs tournament despite having no dubs comps, this means that these tournaments are all shit. Losing in the finals of a 32 players tournament is the equivalent of losing in the quarter finals of a CC and not getting any money. If I were you, I would be ashamed to link these brackets.

i see it differently clearly. i read the names and remember the players skill when applicable. remember the state the tiers were in.

But it's not really a proper equivalent. Nowadays with the way automated tours'  signups happen, it's very likely in first round that you run into someone who is running Fly Charizard or you get a bye. You can also easily manage to get into the later stages of a tournament if you're lucky enough to have your bracket arranged in a manner where you constantly face lower tier players. In the previous system, having players register on forums to sign up for tours meant they'd be a lot more skillful (I don't really need to expand on this), and having a fewer number of players in a tour meant that you couldn't make finals without having to face a good player.
