Like where when it is day it is bright, and night is dark, add dusk and dawn into the game. To my understanding, Black and White already have overworld textures made up for Dusk and Dawn, and the soon to be added Platinum also has it as well. There are also dusk/dawn battle backgrounds already existing for B/W, if I recall correctly.
For the GBA games, simply add a shader of orange or light blue, like how dark blue is added to give the appearance of night time.
Makes the game feel a whole lot more dynamic, and gives you a better sense of what time it is in the game.
