Can't you sell cosmetics?

I bought a nurse's hat without realising I already had one. I went to put the spare one on the GTL and it came up with this. I tried with my other cosmetics and the same thing came up. What am I meant to do with it now?

The reason for this is because since these are so cheap a lot of players abused them by placing these cosmetics on gtl at higher prices. Obviously new players that do not know the values of these would buy them on gtl thinking that their getting it for a fair price when in fact they're not. That's why emerald hat and all the other stuff aren't marketable because you can get them a lot cheaper from npc I presume.
