Can you fix pokemon killing themselves when switching region

I travelled from vermillion to hoenn, returned with the torchic and when i returned to hoenn the combusken did it too pls fix

Hi there! Your Pokemon will only do this if they are above your maximum obedience level in that region. To view this, press "C" or select your trainer card and it will tell you what your level cap is. If your Pokemon have leveled above your Hoenn level cap while you were in Kanto, then you would need to earn more badges in Hoenn as each badge raises the cap. This is not a bug but a very intentional feature to prevent people from simply leveling their Pokemon to 100 or buying high level Pokemon off the GTL and clearing the story. The level cap for a region is removed once you beat the Elite Four in that specific region for the first time.
