The 2018 year was full of changes, with new teams rising to the top, and old teams slowly fading away. We saw changes in tiers, players and finally of host place. I will use this thread as a spotlight to teams who took great pride, achieving final round each month, and those who took part. As you can see above, the second half of the year was split between team Aura and Asgard Warriors, each winning 3 titles.

Overall, this year we had 5 different champion teams. I will count points for each round, to make a little summary of this year for each team, but without going into not needed details. Using a little-modified points system from Crash Team Racing (so only fair point system in existence), I tried to see and spotlight which teams achieved most in 2018.

Champion Title: 9 points

2nd Place: 6 Points

Semifinal: 3 points

Round 2: 2 points

Round 1: 1 point

Let's start.

[Aw] Asgard Warriors

Five final matches and not a single second place- AW are not a team to be ignored. Twice this year they had a chance to win team tournament three times in a row, and despite failing to do so, they were close to this achievement. They played in every Team Tournament this year, and they were first rounded only twice.

Number of points: 56

History of starts:

Candiido SejuaniSupport  Predakiller . belieberboy Akles AntiWall Roxxaass XxxDragonDarkxxX

[ÄURA] PokemonAura

10 starts, 3 titles, 3 semi-finals. They haven't lost final match either, and 2018 for sure is successful for team Aura, especially on the second half of year. Winning month after month proves that they are a capable team and it doesn't matter which tier is actually played. They performed really well in this year, being thrown away only twice in first round

Number of points: 42

[RISÉ] TheUprising

2018 they started with a win in January, and then again with a win in June, achieving third and fourth Champions Title correspondingly. The second half of the year wasn't as lucky for them, but we still see them almost everytime during TT (they didn't play only one time). Worth to note that out of two final matches, they won them both.

Number of points: 37

History of starts:

Champions -> Round 1 ->  Semi-Final -> Semi-Final -> Round 2 -> Champions ->  Semi-Final -> Round 2 ->  Round 1 -> Semi-Final -> Round 1

 [SIÂ] Sic Itur Ad Astra

They have won the title once in 2018, and three last tournaments ended with them losing first round, but the only fool would be happy facing against them. Twice they came second, and three times they ended the tournament in the semifinal match, which is even more impressive when you will notice they played in every TT this year.

Number of Points: 38

History of Starts:
Semi-Final ->  Round 2 -> Semi-Final -> Round 2 -> Champions -> Semi-Final -> 2nd Place -> Round 1 -> 2nd Place -> Round 1 -> Round 1 -> Round 1

[RAGE] Outragecrew

Few times they were left in round 1, but we can't ignore their champions title in April, and their three consistent semi-finals run. Considering their semis came in late 2018, we can expect more from Rage in 2019. They deserve spot in Top 5 Team Tournament starts.

2019 will start with a few changes- with changed location (to be announced for each month) and with the rotation of tiers:

January: OU UU NU

February: OU NU LC

March: OU UU DUBS

April: OU UU LC

May: OU NU DUBS

June: OU DUBS LC

July: OU UU NU

August: OU NU LC

September: OU UU DUBS

October: OU UU LC

November: OU NU DUBS

December: OU DUBS LC

Starting January, I will want to announce important change -> All rosters MUST be submitted an hour before Team Tournament start. A team failing to do so will be moved to reserves. Original post with roster will be count as an entry for the team, so remember to edit them earlier or just post full roster at once.

As the second announcement:

Teams: AW, ÄURA, RISÉ, SIÂ, RAGE will have guaranteed spots in January Team Tournament.

Because we do appreciate our players taking part in our tournaments, and because we want to reward competitive spirit, all teams that took a part in all Team Tournaments will have guaranteed spots in January Team Tournament as well.
Because this short list includes only Aw, Sia and Lava, team Lävä is rewarded guaranteed spot for January as well.

@Bearminator This is sexy as fuck. Any chance you can retroactively go back and look at prior years too? Would definitely be nice to have an "official" version of my thread in the comp alley using your calcs.

That idea went into my head, for sure I will keep updated point system for this year, and I will look if I can do it for past years.

For sure it will be "easy" for the past two years, older threads might be more challenging, but I will see what I can do.
No promises about the date, it's a lot of writing.

As far as you can go with reliable data is always better for the game.
