First time experience with PokeMMO

My friend and I just started PokeMMO about 1-2 weeks ago. We felt like we were 12 again and we grinded so much, always neck to neck. We finally have 7/8 badges and we're trying to go and catch Articuno. To our dismay we didn't see it at it's spot. I looked online and saw a post here on the forum stating that it's not available for balancing purposes due to the fact that it wouldn't be fair to the common player etc.

Huge disappointment. My friend and i immediately logged off when we saw we couldn't experience that game like we'd hope to. I enjoyed this game a lot, even had it on my phone to play on the go and at work but all motivation to grind and be "the very best" left.

I hope they fix this asap, this game so far has been one of the best MMO for pokemon I've seen and i'd hate to see it be restricted by something a minor as this.

The devs are working on custom legendary dungeons. There you will be able to catch some legendaries and obtain some hidden abilities.

The way cartridges introduced legendaries was not suitable for an MMO environment.

just saying this game has a lot of deeper mechanic that i wouldn't be surprise to know you aren't aware of that would make you even with legendary much weaker than many player that don't use them at all. to be the very best you don't really need the best pokemon, you need the best knowledge and skill.

I know the ropes when it comes to pokemon, IV and EV etc.  I never really spent my time doing that nor will I. I wanted the opportunity to run around through all 3 regions and friendly battle among my friend group. Show off our pokemons and legendaries, see who can get them first. I know it isn't everything and im gonna keep on playing. i just got let down yesterday when i walked into the seafoam caves expecting an articuno and it wasnt there.

I agree with the fact that legendaries shouldn't be available for everyone, but this game doesn't have the most completely casual friendly experience if you were just looking to do just a normal run.

you're in luck i got 2 alternative for you:

1. be the first to get a shiny and show off

2. catch mewtwo/rayquaza while they are there and potentially beat their ass while you have it.
