the Any-Level Tournament occurs on Saturdays, while the Set-Level Tournament occurs on Sundays
your pokemon will be set to level 50 during the Set-Level Tournament
the tournaments take place at the Vermilion City PvP Arena
to participate in a tournament simply bring a full pokemon team and enter the Vermilion City PvP Arena (from the PvP Center) and wait until the tournament starts
the tournament doors will open 30 minutes before a tournament starts, and a global message will be sent 30 minutes before, 5 minutes before, and 1 minute before a tournament starts reminding you of the tournament type, location, and prize
the first place tournament prize is always 200 PvP Tokens, 400 credits and 1 random item
the second place tournament prize is always 100 PvP Tokens and 100 credits
the participatory prize (which everyone receives except the 1st and 2nd place winners) is 25 PvP Tokens
you can spend your PvP Tokens at the store inside of the PvP Center
disconnecting while inside the PvP Arena after a tournament has started is considered a forfeit, and you will not receive a prize
tournament prizes are handed out shortly after you lose a battle (or after the tournament if you've won)
matchmaking is random
a free pass to the next round will be given to a random player if the amount of tournament participants is an odd number
the same person cannot receive a free pass twice in a row
a battle rating has been added to each player, and will increase or decrease depending on how you perform during the tournaments
there are two separate ratings, one for each tournament.
