Why the exclusion of the 4th generation?

Bueno es simple curiosidad pero, ¿porque excluyen a la 4ta generación pokemon?, me lo pregunto porque hasta ahora tenemos desde la primera 1º hasta la tercera 3º generación y luego se salta a la quinta 5º, obviando por completo los pokemons de la región de Sinnoh así como la misma región.

From a competitive side of view, I bet they had no idea, that gen4 actually has a really good competitive scene.

From a casual side of view, they probably just thought unova was better.

Gen5 provided more content in terms of items/movesets/abilities/pokemon it made more sense to work on 5 first and then work on 4 over going 4 and then 5.

they used the dev side insted insted of having to upgrade twice they upgrade once with gen 5 so 2 more region can come quicker becaus they won't have to upgrade anything to make gen4 work
