Global already has enough spam as is, Shout forces them to focus on specific places and can also be turned off for people who already have teams/aren't interested in joining one.

Other than the fact that I think Global can not be redeemed, even with this change, I think this is a good suggestion.

I support this suggestion. Repeatedly looking for guild recruitment in global would earn a user a mute for X amounts of minutes.

I love this idea! There's probably no way to initially stop people recruiting in Global, but if it's written up in the official rules, CMs can remind players that they can't use Global for recruitment. I've seen plenty of people try to make trade offers in Global even though there's a Trade chat, so a CM has simply told them not to do it. Problem solved, they usually don't continue.

EDIT: It doesn't even have to be a CM, plenty of regular players would troll the shit out of people who break the rules in Global, until they stopped.

Yes I've been thinking about what to do with "shout chat" for a while.

Now that the guilds are implemented, it's more simple to find something to do with it.

I agree, good idea. If this is to be done though, there should be a help text when you go to set up a team telling you that shout is the place to advertise for teams.
