While I understand why this game is slightly more difficult than average, I feel as if a casual mode is needed. A group of my friends found pokemmo and have enjoyed it so far; Until you get to the harder battles. While I do see the appeal in making the game harder. I believe the game should offer a casual mode so that players wouldn't worry about competitive ( Or getting ready for competitive) Instead, they should just focus on playing the game and having fun. As a player; both competitively and casually. I see the game as to hard for normal players. A good example: The 3rd may battle inbetween the second and third gym, A normal player isn't gonna make predictions, and expect the AI to make plays like that. Also another example, pokemon in important battles having egg moves, tms, and also hms being apart of movesets and most pokemon to have a counter to every counter is a lot for a normal player to take in, for example in this the Archie battle in the underwater cavern. Sharpedo has earthquake, ice fang, and also waterfall. Lanturn has surf, ice beam. And I could pull out more examples of this taking place. But you get the idea (hopefully).
Anyway, a point I am trying to make is that. If I wanted a competitive scene, i'd just grind up pokemon in a 3DS games, or just play showdown. If I'm gonna play a pokemon game, I SHOULDN'T have to make predictions, constant switching, and other competitive aspects. Also as I have stated this before; I understand the appeal in making the game harder, more challenging. But, you should make a separate channel/server where it's easier than it currently is.
