I think he is referring to the theme music for each gym leader which plays when the last pokemon is left, or at least that's what i'm guessing.

I don't know if it's implemented, but if it's not then Im guessing this is what he meant.


It plays after the gym leader steps in and says the generic "You're doing good, but don't expect me to go down that easily!" huehue xdd line

Ah, I understand.

 

I think this would take away the impact of the speech/it being the last party member.

 

I'm fairly sure such a thing could be made into a mod though.

I'd argue that the music change makes it much, much better.

The music is better, but it ruins the atmosphere of the heated moment(s) of the battle if there isn't any change in the tempo/theme.

 

At that point the Gym leaders scripted intro during the battle may as well be scrapped altogether.
