Bring back 8 channels

With the massive influx of new players, doing catch events is pretty much impossible with the amount of lag we're getting in every channel. That's why I'm suggesting that you would bring back (at least) the 8 different channels in this game because that would be highly needed now.

Money that they were already spending before, and as Orange stated above, with the influx of players it's arguable they're making even more money than before now.

What exactly did you think you would achieve with this comment? The suggestion box exists so the playerbase can give their input of what does the game need in their opinion and if the devs didn't care one bit about what the players want, this sub-section wouldn't exist now wouldn't it? You could post this comment in every suggestion imaginable because any development in any regard needs some effort from something so might as well not develop anything.

Better yet, create channels based on region, this way everyone notices less lag.

And yes, you now have the money for that just looking at how much RP chinese are buying.

Couldn't even hit 15 FPS during the catchmon event today, on any channel.

This is a valid concern and something we didn't anticipate unfortunately we cannot dynamically update them in real time so it will need to wait until the next update. Whether 8 channels is the right number is also not yet determined. Thanks.

What was the initial reasoning for lowering the channel count?

 

The changelog just says:

Channel population limits are now calculated per-region instead of per-channel

• This increases the amount of players which are allowed in a channel, and more evenly distributes players across less populated regions
• The amount of Channels has been reduced from 8 to 5
