A Question Please, Sir.

Recommended Posts

So I was thinking about doing something in this game but i'm not sure if it would be allowed or not, so I just want to check before I go ahead and do it. Would it be allowed if I were to live stream my game on Twitch and do like mini lottos, as lottos are a massive thing right now. Except instead of a "lottery" as such, I would get 2 players, who one has say a shiny rattata and the other a shiny patrat, they both give me their shinies, I put their names into a wheel spinner (which is showed live on cam) and spin it. Whover it lands on wins both shinies. Would this be allowed? Thanks.

Here are the rules on lotteries:

I highly doubt that something like what you are proposing would be allowed. What you are proposing is something much smaller than a lottery and would be much more frequent (it's casino gambling). This would put a heavy load on staff members, since staff would still be required to hold the two shinies; and the payoff for staff servicing this sort of thing would be really low...

That's the point of live streaming, staff do not hold them, I do and it's all recorded / streamed so no scamming can happen and the matter can be resolved easily if a scam does happen.

No, live streaming it doesn't really help your case.

Just because you live stream it doesn't change the fact that you can scam it. And when I mean scam it, I mean, the host has a friend who enters it and then a random participant. The host has it rigged so that the friend wins >50% of the time. It's quite easy to do this even while streaming (you can find dice rolling services that look legit, but are loaded). Also, this is more of a problem if lots of people are partaking in this activity (i.e. lots of hosts like you).

Could you explain in more detail how the metronome thing works?

He asked people to choose types, moves or idk, and then just used metronome, which represent the random draw. You first gotta enlight the odds btw

Could encounter a random Pokemon and they bet on if it will be male or female I guess that would work
