Is using the mobile app and the pc version at the same time morally correct?

Recommended Posts

So i want to know if using your pc and a mobile at once is allowed? This is basically what everyone is doing at the moment whether they want to admit it or not.

In other mmo's this kinda thing is not allowed because its an unfair advantage.

Two possible outcomes:

1: This is going to become the norm and if you dont have 1+ mobiles and the pc version running at the same time you are gonna fall behind!

2: this isn't allowed, but people are going to do it anyways and you are still gonna have the same problem and fall behind if you aint got multiple alts.

So i just want to know how you guys feel about this.

What kind of advantage can you get except for not paying mail when you transfer pokemon(s) to other account.

Farming twice faster ? :x

About shiny hunting, you don't even waste time, using the first's animation time to clic on the second and vice versa

Can't be helped. When a game has a maximum of actions per minute which is lower than a player's tempo, the usage multiple accounts is inevitable.

Fast paced games don't share the same problem.

Well it's still choice to devs to make it easy to multi-account or not, and to allow it or not, because both measures will impact the amount of players doing it.

There is no way to stop players from playing on different accounts on different devices at the same time.

How would you enforce such a rule? It's not possible.

They cant do much about this, cant block location or network limitation cus fake GPS and Mobile network, respectively

The amount of ppl doing it is obviously depending on how easy it is to do it.

Imagine if you could play multi account on the same laptop. For sure way more people would be doing it.

Now imagine you need many devices, AND risk punishment by doing it. Many people wouldn't consider the effort. There would still be people doing it, but, by making it less accessible/more risky, you reduce drastically (well, it depends on the measures you take), to make it discrete enought, to be uneffective affecting the other players gameplay.

I'm not inventing it, just check other MMOs securities (and btw, check how they vary depending on the staff vision of the thing).

I just spoke to some guy in game. And he says that hes got 6 alts running all at once. 3 mobiles 2 laptops and his pc. Hes been farming battle points for a good few hours. Its pretty broken he says because 60% of the time he battles himself and gets easy and fast points.

This is more unfair then what people have been making out in the comments. Having 2 alts at once has been around since day 1.and its pretty easy to set up. But with the induction of mobiles it has now become very very easy to run many alts at once. Mobiles are so much smaller then a laptop or pc and its easier to run many at once.
