Allow Carrying of 0 Pokemon

Why:

* Easier party management

* Encourages use of consumable/RP items

 

Mechanics:

* Can only be done after region completion

* When carrying 0 mons in the overworld, any encounter teleports you to the last pokemon center you had been to

* Ocarinas become the only means of using HMs

* Repels work 100% when carrying 0

You're suggesting no party, how do you manage what does not exist?

What activities would players be doing that consumes items? Only see Fly / Cut Ocarina being useful to travel.

Probably won't happen, its not safe professor oak even tells you such at the start of your adventure.

 

It would also require adding a lot of checks at various parts of the game and something would undoubtedly be missed and very little if any reward for doing so.  Elite 4, TT, who knows what else.

well beside that overall that idea is a little pooped (edit seriously there is an auto censor for that?)  that could be usefull if it was limited to a thing only doable inside a pokecenter. that would make swithching team less anoying when you don't want to keep them in the same box and could also speed up the processe  of trading(selling/giving) a large amount of pokemon with someone, but anyway it's a really small feature that would probably take some work to implement and the devs allready have a long to do list so yeah this could be a the total bottom of it

This serves no purpose. Just like have your full party or just 1 pokemon in your party and have it not on follow. Does the same exact thing.

yes it's way of making this work is indeed useless and a bit pooped but it's first point wich is

would make thing like switching from team that you don't place in the same box easier and less anoying 

 

many comp player keep their pokemon from different tier organised by box so having to go back to the first box twice to keep them in the order you want is something that could be avoided

 

so yeah like i said before it could be something at the bottom of the to do list
