The dev team is aware of the issue and they have some suspicions as to the cause, but aren't sure.

For now you can use Bootcamp to run a Windows VM and that should resolve the issue.

Oh okay that sucks i just liked playing on my laptop cause i can chill in bed but i will just play on my pc.Thank you for resolving my issue.

It may help to disable anti-aliasing as that seems to have some issues on the Mac version if not properly optimized (which it isn't).
Biggest issue with working within the Apple 'Walled Garden' is how overtly-hostile they are to developers trying to make things they disagree with and making it as difficult as possible to utilize a proper 'emulation' environment for gaming.
If you use a Mac for gaming and don't BootCamp, you'll have a lot worse problems than this.
Highly recommended to consider at least Linux Mint & WINE for most games.  If you absolutely want all the games you'll need to buckle down and just BootCamp into Windows or utilize a Windows Virtual Machine.

Your best bet is probably Open-Source VirtualBox: https://www.virtualbox.org/
You'll need to provide your own (legit) Windows image though.
