jpshadow
I did not understand how this ability works here. Does pick up still work after i switch the Pokemon with the ability out? Goldeneyes 1 Link to comment
Katzukiangel
The pokemon with the ability must be in the team first and defeat the wild. The probability that it picks up something is think 5% jpshadow 1 Link to comment
NikBit
The pokemon with PickUp must be leading, doesnt matter if u switch pokemon in battle :P jpshadow 1 Link to comment
Anthrazit
In addition, the chance for picking up an item triggers for both defeating the wild pokemon or catching the wild pokemon iirc The pickup pokemon does not need to have room in its inventory - an item will be stored directly in your backpack if it can't hold it jpshadow 1 Link to comment

Nah I can confirm it's true. At least it still says the pokemon picked up the item not you found it Anthrazit and jpshadow 2 Link to comment

You possibly think of the way pickup worked before this update : ["Pickup is no longer prevented if the lead party member's held item slot is occupied."] If you plan on using both the pickup ability and the move thief at the same time - as some item farmers do - you still need to remember to empty the held item slot after each collected item.
