EDIT: Sinnoh's folder name should be "3"

Note: You can also click "Send to" > "Compressed (zipped) folder" to create a zip, which will work for PC, but not for android.

This 'store' compression method is the one necessary for android mods.

note: a mod that ends in .mod is literally a .zip that was renamed. they do the same thing.

so feel free to rename your new zip to .mod

Part 2: Track IDs

All you gotta do is name the music file after the track ID that it's supposed to replace. (example: vermillion city is 313, so if you want to have All Star by smash Mouth play in verm, you have to name it 313.mp3)

NEW: It is now possible to type the command /bgm while in the game, to get the ID of the track currently playing.

Login Screen (goes in the "2" folder with unova music)

Spoiler

Edit: These IDs are salvaged directly from rom data, and not personally tested and tailored, so the list might look slightly wonky with some duplicate tracks.

If you're not sure which instance of a track to use, consider going to the in-game location and do a /bgm to get the exact ID of the track you want to change.

Part 3: Loops

Quote

Note: Only loopStart/loopEnd MetaMessages are used to determine looping points. Support for ControlCode type loops will be added Soon™

If you paste in a track, it will just play from beginning to end and then start over.

If you want to say, play the intro of the battle theme, and then loop from after the intro onwards, you'll need these meta messages.

However, they currently only work with MIDI files.

There's already a very detailed guide on how to accomplish this, so I will just share it here.

@Kizhaz ^ This guy needs a clutchmaster MVP hero again

Also, keep in mind that you can only have 250 MB of uncompressed files and a limit of 10k files in a single mod file.   Therefore it’s suggested to use .ogg/.mp3 over .wav   Limita

Just to let you know, for OGG files in Audacity currently, the method you posted as of right now is NOT working for looping. Will try will other filetypes but as of right now, it won't work ingame.

Loop is only in .midi files

@Munya @Kizhaz any chance anyone knows that's the track ID for the music that plays on the title screen?

I've tried 1003-1009 but none of those are it.

I'm pretty sure it's because those IDs correspond to the actual title screen music, whereas pokemmo actually uses "Challenge the Battle Tournament" from black white.

tldr I need the ID for 'Challenge the Battle tournament' but all that dumped garbage up there makes no sense

edit: nvm I found it. It's 1159. BGM-WCS stands for World Championship probably.

I have a question, I want to do mods for kanto and hoenn of remixes of the music of those regions, but since the mod has to have at most 250Mb, I guess it will not give me the space, you could do 2 mods per region with the music distributed?

And another thing, there are some numbers missing from the music of those regions, where do they get them?

1 - yes, you can make multiple mods.

you can make a mod that has some music changed in kanto, some in hoenn, and some battle sprites changed.

it really doesn't matter what you put in your mod or how you distribute it.

2- i don't think all numbers are used. it's probably better to look for a specific music you're missing and then ask for the ID.

In this case, there is a pokemon center that does not count as a pokemon center according to the number of music, it is Knot Island, it has the name Pokemon Networks Center, if they have the track of that place, it would be great, it's the only one that lack.
