Twas the Night Before Unova

Recommended Posts

When although the status
Not an update was stirring
Not even a hint

The everstones all hung
By the breeder with care
In hopes
That new sets
Soon would be there

The level 100's were nestled
All safe in their PC
While visions of new starters
Danced in our heads

And professor in her lab
And I in my bed,
Had just settled down
In my third brand new house

When out in my room
There arose such a clatter
I sprang from my covers
To see what was the matter

Away to the rivals
I flew like a flash
Tore open the boxes
And picked up the ball

The type of the Poke
Part one of the three
Gave me the sign
Of a new journey
To which we'll align

When what
To my wandering eyes
Should appear
As one million more
Players just now spawn in

With a little ol driver
So flooded and full
I knew in a moment
It must've crashed it

More rapid than sneasels
His courses they came
As we whistled
And shouted
And called
Them by name

Now @Desu
Now @Shu
Now @Noad
Now @RacheLucario
On @Squirtle
On @Kyupid
On @Darkshade
An @XelaKebert

To the top
Of the bugs
To the top
Of the Code
Now Fix-away
Fix-away
Fix-away all

As a bug leaves
Before the fix
version no. fly
When they reach
one new obstacle?
Hotfix to the sky!

So up
To the forums
The threads
They flew
With a post
Full of Haste
And with teamwork too

And then
In a twinkling
I heard on the thread
The prancing
And pawing
Of each little fix

A bundle of changes
He had flung
On his server
And he looked
Like an Admin
now opening
His reply

His eyes
How they twinkle
His memes how many
His jokes
Were like, fresh,
His references a plenty

His drawl little mouth
Was drawn up like a bow
And the fix was now in!
Servers now ready to 'boot

A wink of his eye
And a twist of his head
Soon gave me to know
I had nothing to dread

He spoke not a word
But went straight
To his work
And filled
All the patch notes
Then turned
With a jerk

An laying a finger
Along side his nose
An giving a nod
Up the Forums
He rose

He sprang
To his bed
To his team
Gave a whistle
An away
They all flew
Like the tired hard workers
they had all just become

But I heard him exclaim
As he drove out of sight
Happy Patch-day to all
And to all a goodnight
