Team Tournament November (Saturday 25th November)

~Welcome to the Official PokeMMO Team Tournament of November 2017~

These are monthly competitive tournaments where teams can test their skill against each other.
Players battle as teams (3 at a time). Teams can switch out which members compete between rounds.

 

[SIÂ] will be given the opportunity to defend their title from October 2017. They have earned a registration slot. 

 

 

 

5 players from each team

The top spot will be an OU Match

Below, there will be OU Match

The middle spot will be and UU Match

All the players that are playing must be registered! Only those players are allowed to play for your team.
One representative from their own team registers their players (posts edited after the tournament has begun will lead to DQ)

If I notice your team is an alt team, when creating the bracket and reserves list I will put that team on the last spot of reserves.

Prize:

The winning team will receive:
 650.000 each for 3 winning players

 Guaranteed spot in next month's Team Tournament

 Player sprites on next month's tournament poster
 Entry into the PokeMMO Hall of Fame 
 

Notes:

• Disconnecting during a match will result in a DQ.

• Do not block the Staff running the Event. If you disregard requests for you to unblock staff members then you will be disqualified.

• Once your match is called you will have 10 minutes to report to the table. No time extensions will be given.

• Time clause is in effect for stalemate battles in round 1 and 2. When there is a tie (1-1) and the third match takes over an hour, a decision by the host/GM may be made about the outcome of the duel.

nah, I can see players enjoying it. Also, with incoming new pokemons, we might see really nice LC tier, so no point. Whole purpose was to bring all tiers to use, not to limit it to 4/5. 

If new LC will be mess, well that will be up to debate, but I don't really see it coming.

My thoughts are that hardly anyone will have new lc considering this event may be what... a week after the update, maybe even days?

Same can be said about other tiers tho, they can be unbalanced etc. That's why we're watching situation really carefully.

I dont see why LC would have to be removed for another OU tier if your main argument is "preparation time"

The point JJ is making is that a very minute proportion of people will be prioritising LC enough to make it a successful aspect in the first TT post-update, unlike the other tiers

Well, if I would run team and I would knew its issue, I would just make sure to prepare at least one Player with lc comps , since it can make my team get one point.

If a Team Tournament is hosted just a week or two after an update, obviously every tier is going to have "incomplete" teams and most teams would just contain Hoenn meta comps. I don't see any reason why Little Cup particularly should be scrapped for this reason.

 

If anything, Little Cup comps are ironically the easiest to make considering you don't need 31s for perfect comps. Most often 27+ is enough for perfect stats on needed areas. So if anything, lack of time is actually an argument for Little Cup - not against it. In addition, Gen5 is finally making Little Cup as an exciting metagame.
