Rache Posted July 22, 2017 Share Posted July 22, 2017 I think people seem to be missing one of the main points here - sorting can only be done by total votes, not total upvotes. This means that if something gets 100 downvotes, it's pushed towards the top when sorting instead of to the bottom where it belongs. It's therefore better to not have downvotes at all - because of this sorting flaw, including them in the total number of votes misrepresents the merit of each suggestion, making the voting system pointless.
