Rules for Client Customization - Read Before Posting!   04/30/2016

1.) All global forum rules apply here, they can be seen here; http://forums.pokemm...-gameforumsirc/ 2.) If you're going to be negative, always give constructive criticism as to why you feel that way. Criticizing work just for the sake of criticizing it/being rude will result in your post being hidden. 3.) Only owners of the thread can double post, and the conditions for them doing so must be to display new customization(s). Try to make use of the edit button provided to you if you feel that you left something out. 4.) No going off topic, unless it is in some way related to the original post. Going off topic in a thread will result in your off topic posts being hidden/deleted. 5.) No request threads, if you wish to request a user make you something, PM them personally, or find a shop that fits the details of your wants. 6.) Do not post other people's work without permission, whether this be in a thread, or AS a thread. 7.) If you do use other people's work within your own, be sure to credit them for what they have done. 8.) Always keep thread titles accurate, and free of inappropriate language. Self-censored curse words will be considered as inappropriate. If a thread's title does not meet these guidelines it will be changed. 9.) Do not make threads, or post in threads asking how to customize, if you can't find a tutorial elsewhere, send a PM to someone in this section who may know. 10.) The only person who can "bump" a thread which has not been posted in for 3 weeks or longer is the original creator of the topic. Bumping another persons thread will likely result in your post being hidden/deleted. 11.) Please do not promote other websites, however linking to them as an example of work, or to show an already made customization is fine. 12.) Always provide a direct download link to every form of customization, if you fail to do so, your post will be removed. 13.) No ROM distribution, or talk on ROM distribution. Any posts discussing ROMs will be removed. 14.) All threads must be tagged appropriately. Look at any similar threads if you are not sure which tag to use, or consult me personally. The way in which you display a tag is not negotiable. They are as follows; [GUI] [iPS] [MOD] [Translation] [Tool] [Tutorial]   If a thread is missing a tag, or has been incorrectly tagged, it will be changed to match the content of the thread.

Shiny because that's the one I started editing the fins on. Anyone has anything specific to say or do?

Looks much better.

Just wondering, is there gonna be a special event to encounter legendary pokemon like giratina or kyogre? (after we complete their sprite and implement them in the game) or do you just find them randomly in the grass?

EDIT:

Just a test.

Either the wrong firered ROM was used, or some cheatcode got left on. Have you read the readme? Usually problems with Wrong ROMs start earlier than that so I don't know. Are you using an usual emulator?

It may be that I'm using OpenEmu on Mac. But the odd thing is that it's only this Rom that this happens with. I tested this with other IPS patches for FireRed and none of them do this. I didn't add anything extra, I just patched the IPS for Mega Mormon straight to a Clean v 1.0 of FireRed.

Ok I think I actually found the issue. Even though I used the exact named emulator you listed in the ReadMe, there appears to be a rom floating around with that file name that either has some kind of issue or is just a different rom with the same name. I hunted a little deeper into the net and found a different download site with the same named FireRed Squirrel rom than the one I initially found, and now it's working just fine. So I don't know, I'm going to just assume that that's what's going on.

Someone called MrLagger is trying to make a full moemon game. Unfortunately he distributes GBA files of moemon (and not even good ones). I can link because of that, but I am interested in projects like that.

This is beginning to get over my head. I can only cover a problem like this with the Readme, which is getting huge. The CRC32 hash is DD88761c for the Firered Rom. I don't want to have a course in computer science embedded into the Readme.

Is there a way to evolve pokemon like Haunter or Machoke which require trading?  When I completed a trade with my haunter, it didn't evolve.

Spoiler

EDIT: Jk I just got it to level 40

Did you manage to set up a link? That's quite undertested, and mega-evolution will likely break the battles. It might have more bugs.

I'm putting in another mart for late game evolutions so level ups aren't required. It'll probably be Cinnabar Island's mart. I'm thinking the 18th might have an update. I'll have to make an evolution.txt as I transition evolutions to stones.

I'll focus a bit on the postgame afterwards.

Yeah, I used Myboy to run two emulations at once and linked them.  Trading actually worked perfectly fine, everything was usable after the trade.

Hi. Long-time lurker, first-time poster.

I just downloaded the patch to try it out, and It seems to work okay. However, I noticed that the game still uses the term "Pokemon" instead of "Moemon" in the in-game text. Are you going to change that at some point? Otherwise, it looks good so far.

It'll require either lots of manual editing, or a tools that can replace all instances of a word with a word of shorter length. I could do it with "gijinka" and it would actually be more accurate than moemon. The grown women don't qualify as moe.

I've always just thought the humans inhabitant just did everything possible to avoid coming to terms about pokemon being people.

Question: Is there a guide available as to Pokemon Moemon Locations? I have no idea where to find Bulbasaur (if not starter), Charmander (if not starter), or Ledyba, as they have no location registered in the Pokedex.

I just assumed that in that reality the Pokemon were always Moemon, so the people wouldn't think it was weird.

Edit: I am noticing some bugs with TMs. Some Moemon learn TMs they shouldn't, and don't learn TMs they should. (Swellow should not be able to learn Water Pulse, Rock Tomb, Brick Break, or Dig. Swellow should be able to learn Aerial Ace and Thief. Shinx should not be able to learn Dig. Glameow should be able to learn Shock Wave, Dig, and Water Pulse. There's probably more.) Everything else has worked fine thus far. Is the bug on my end, or is this simply something that wasn't noticed before?

Some TMs are reusable and some aren't. (Figured this one out. It seems to be related to using a TM with less than 4 moves)

Oh, I guess I didn't go through a full fixing of the TMs for gen three. There's no cheatsheat for post-gen three pokemon with the TM set I have.

Well at least that qualifies as an exploit.

Moegod is not very impressive (I wanted to give her the same golden wheel around arceus to her, but I don't know where should I put it).

EDIT:

She also need a better clothes to match arceus character.

I really like the game so far, but there's one problem I found in it.

I'm at the Electric Gym leader fighting Luxio who uses Light screen. I have Brick Break on Quilava, the minute it shows the light screen animation it freezes. I don't know if I'm the only who noticed because I just signed in.

You are the first to report it.

It's probably just the baserom yet again. The entire project should probably be restarted as these inherited problems are too arcane for me. The only option is to change the move to another effect.

A rebuild with just what is needed may be in order.

Is there a way to update leaf jewel google drive? since he's/she's offline.

Hey, so to start off i should probably introduce myself. Iv'e been a lurker on the moemon boards for nearly 2 years now, and when i saw you open up the mega moemon board i was more than elated, I've been watching everything unfold for a while now and actually thought of something interesting.
Is the mega moemon project planned to be kept as a rom hack?  Seeing as how it wont work with something like the pokemmo client have you considered going into a game engine like unity? If so i have a fair bit of experience that id be willing to lend. If not i do have some programming experience and would like to chip in and help in anyway i can. Although i Cant spend all of my time helping out seeing as how I'm working on my own game i do happen to have a load of free time.
