"Double Exp Weekend" PokeMMO Style

Give long time members and something to look forward to and a little bonus every now and then.  Boost new player retention giving them something lit to look forward to as well.  Basically:  Server wide donators status for 3 days every once in a while.  This can stack with donators too, encouraging more sales of donators tickets during the weekends.  

 

Also during the "double EXP weekends":  Extensive comps.  Trivia in chat.  Catching comps.  Non-automated comps hosted in high visibility areas such are vermillion or slateport city.  Official livestream with commentators.

What's with the sudden flip in your desires? You want new players to stay around, yet you exclude them from a bonus. You want players to donate, but here you are suggesting devs just give out the benefits. I can't tell if you want all of this crap at once or if you changed your mind or what, but I'm confused at this point.
