World Cup - Group Stages - General Thread - Deadline: May 7th

I decided to make a general thread for the Group Stages. This is primarily to serve as a administration thread and also a thread to demonstrate the rules. Every group will have their own thread where the matches are posted.

I'm posting the threads for matches for Group A to Group H within next 24 hours (hopefully). When the matches are posted, captains please submit your lineups for your team as soon as possible. If I don't hear anything from the captain, any member of the team may submit the lineups for group stages. Failing to do so in a reasonable amount of time will get your team disqualified.

Submitting lineups:

Spoiler

Please submit lineups versus every team individually in a forum PM or a in-game PM. I would actually prefer in-game PMs because the forum inbox is so limited but both are fine. Here is an example of a way to submit your lineup.

Team Vatican City lineup vs. Team Micronesia

OU: Unicorn

UU: Frog

NU: Camel

Team Vatican City lineup vs. Team Nauru

OU: Camel

UU: Tomato

NU: Frog

and so on...

Scheduling matches:

Spoiler

Very similar to PSL, you contact your opponent and figure out when you are going to battle. Please post the time of the battle and the location you're going to battle in the Group Stage thread. If you decide to start right away, please wait at least 5 minutes after posting about your battle in group stage thread.

There are no exact deadlines in Group Stages for World Cup, however if one side is way more active to schedule the match and every other match is about to get done then activity calls might be made to move on with the tournament.

About substitutes:

Spoiler

In case of inactivity, the captain may force a substitute for a player. A team has as many substitutes to be used as both players have spare players. For example, if teams with 4 and 6 players play against each other then both teams may force one substitute if necessary. Substitutes, however are an exception and not a rule and will not be enforced unless actually needed.

The progression of the tournament:

Spoiler

The winners of the group stage will move on to the round of 8.

How points will be determined for group stage?

Spoiler

Winner of a match gets 3 points, loser 0 points. In case of a tie due to activity decision, both teams get 1 point.

Tiebreakers are also really important, since tied scores are very likely. In case of point tie individual matches will matter. This means even if your team is down 0-2, it is beneficial to try to win for your team because the tiebreaker factor can be necessary. In case individual matches are tied, the played match with the tied teams will determine which team will move on.

In case of a 3 way tie with tied individual matches then teams will replay.

Groups:

These were all randomized, just making sure same country's multiple teams are not in the same group.
