Apparently Xsolla now takes an additional 15% tip for every payment. since pokemmo is also using xsolla i wondered if this will have any consequences for us?

some tldr

-there's a 'default' tip, so i take it it can be unchecked or something, by the player, to pay the regular fee

-xsolla removes this default tip for individual publishers if they compalin enough. ie the pokemmo devs themselves have to contact xsolla and tell them to fix this

I actually contacted xsolla yesterday about this, and the default tip for PokeMMO is now 0%.

 

I still dislike the are even asking at all, but 0% default is a lot better than the 18% default.

 

Also this option, and therefore the default tip, was only shown to users from the USA and Canada. If you believe you were charged a tip please contact xsolla support. They are claiming to refund any tips no questions asked.

This explains a lot. Xsolla 18% tip feels like a bad French restaurant where the tip is already included.
