MAx size on sigs/iamge uploads?

I made a new one of these and it wont let me insert it from an external URL.

 

I tried multiple image hosting platforms.

 

Are there black listed image hosting platforms? or are there any other requirements ie: size (dimensions or kB)

 

I looked around and couldnt find any helpful info. thanks

click and drag the image into the text box here on the forums.

I am on OSX if i drag the image onto this text field nothing happens.... its an animated gif.
