That's not it for me. I can debate respectfully if I want, but with JJ there is no point. He doesn't listen. I can engage in conversations. Go back and forth. Usually that leads to figuring out what is the grey area exactly, but with JJ that just doesn't happen because he just says the same stuff over and over. Take the Zeikooo incident for instance, I argued for days and I was able at some point to get some of the stuff I was accused of thrown out. When JJ explains himself to me, all he did was a copy paste of what he had already said in the slanderous public announcement including a lot of irrelevant stuff, irrelevant stuff that was aggreed to be irrelevant. When JJ does shit like that it is not only insulting, but it also shows that he doesn't listen at all. Look at the Snorlax thread, when people argue for multiple pages saying how much problematic Snorlax is, JJ posts that to summarise everything in the thread there is not a single argument to ban snorlax and disregards everything that was said. He just pretends like all that was said didn't exist and he did that multiple times on that thread. How can you argue with someone like that? You simply can't, so there is no reason to be respectful to someone that clearly doesn't get it. Now I am stubborn too, but I do listen to what people have to say. Even if there are grey areas, that is not a valid reason not to get to the bottom of the decisions.

 

I actually like you k9, but this triggers me so much. I find it very disgusting that an English speaker that can't speak any other language than English is going to give shit to non native English speakers for making typos. That's disgusting. They are the ones making efforts to communicate with you and you make fun of them. Not cool.

 

It is a few Aura and RNG players that constantly complain lol, I'm not saying the team is attacking him, just some from that team. I am only saying the truth.

Firstly, its not a typo he does it a lot, secondly i doubt its autocorrect but thats besides the point, you cant call me dumb with absolutely no reasoning behind it whilst he cant even spell a word learnt in primary school, regardless of him not being native, he's still studied the language and lived in England, so to me its very ironic that he'd call me dumb.

Beside me, RNG players rarely complain. However, when they do, it is never without a valid reason and it is not about attacking JJ. JJ is just the one taking the decisions, so ofc he is going to get shit when people disagree with him and even more shit when he disregards what they are saying. JJ is a decent host, but let's not pretend like he is not arrogant and disrespectful from time to time, especially when it comes to some of his rulings.

 

I don't think you're dumb, but it is very childish to attack people based on how they express themselves (Daryl <3) and even worse to insinuate someone is dumb based on how they express themselves.

Ok, everyone just fucking chill. There are a few players that don't like me, don't like my decisions, and are incredibly vocal about it when they see fit. I can live with that, but what I can't live with are those players making such a fuss that they disrupt the integrity of the PSL all together. This is a great event that has been overshadowed by several players "outrage". 

 

I can't say this enough, the people asked that I not act alone in my decisions and so I created the small council. Every decision that has been "controversial" has been a joint decision by all three of us, and every decision has been unanimous. I can take the heat, but to see my name on every other post and to be called an "idiot", "dumb", "arrogant", "disrespectful" is just too much. 

 

I hosted the PSL for the community and because I wanted to tighten up the rules. I saw one too many times where prior hosts would get bullied by vile community members that couldn't live with being "wrong". I stepped in and enforced rules that I said I wouldn't go back on. So far I have done that. You have to live with that, because that's what you signed up for when I became host.

 

Next season, if there is a next season after this shit show, will be headed by someone else and I wish them the fucking best because no one deserves the type of treatment that I have received for going out of my way to make sure you all can play pokemon for a decent in-game prize.

I was gonna write this on PSL Hype Thread but as it is rightfully closed, I guess I'll make my statement here.

 

I decided I will withdraw myself from the team Top Kecleons and from PSL for this season. Yes, what I'm doing is very extreme and I'm aware it's highly against the ethics of PSL, the very format of which I had hosted a season. Even though I would normally discourage the act of leaving a PSL team at all times, I feel like in order there to be some actual justice I have no other options but do this.

 

The reason is simply the behavior of my manager gbwead has now crossed every possible decent line and the fact people are actually willing to defend his latest behavior. It has come to my attention that gbwead has proposed Torinnnnn that he is willing to modify his week's lineup to favor Torinnn if Torinnnn would be willing to pay him in-game money. Gbwead admits of this happening and is willing to defend his behavior publicly.  In my opinion, there is no justification to this - absolutely none. This is one of the worst offenses one can do in any competitive environment. There is no way someone can't know this is unethical as fuck, people get lifelong bans from sports for doing this kind of shit while facing actual legal actions. Actually imagine if managers - the 8 people that are the most important people of the whole PSL - would all be willing to sacrifice their team's performance for in-game money. Try to think of the big picture even for a second. Would it result in a competitive tournament? And that "I was just trying to get money for my team" is complete bullshit and doesn't change anything, doing everything to win does not mean that ruin the experience of the competitive PSL for everyone for your own financial benefit. Also, if my team is willing to defend this kind of money gathering then I simply do not want to be part of this team. And no, if gb benched all his starters by his own will without being influenced by money I would have no problem with this at all. Being willing to take money for PSL managing decisions, however in every cases crosses all the possible lines to me in order to have the format of PSL working.

 

Even as a former lenient PSL 4 host (and now current adviser of current host JJ), I would not satisfy for any other outcome but to ban gbwead from PSL immediately for the remaining of this season for his matchfixing intentions. Since my head is not that deep in my ass I'm aware this is not very realistic outcome as the shitstorm it would cause would just shut down the whole PSL because PSL wouldn't function as a community event after that kind of shitstorm. I'll admit that we (D-O-G) have been very cautious of punishing gbwead lately because of the fact we thought the arguments from that would just destroy the PSL and I'm well aware the idea of not allowing gbwead to manage for the remaining of this season is not going to be fine for the community and neither therefor will it be fine for the hosts.

 

Therefor I decided to do the most I can personally do for what I find is right and that is by dropping off from gbwead's team and PSL. He needs to face some actions for his unsportsmanlike behavior. Gbwead has shown before that diplomacy with him doesn't work. He was willing to go all the way of destroying the whole community-feel of PSL by filling the PSL threads with shit just because he didn't get a player he was going to bench anyways purposely. He has shown that discussing with him doesn't work unless you give him exactly what he wants. He has made clear he doesn't care about ethics, he only cares about winning whether it be the most unethical way possible. For this reason the only outcome for me to punish him for his actions, is to hurt his team personally by not playing for his team or for any other team for the remaining of this season. I have also naturally withdrawn myself from PSL decisionmaking completely, I would honestly need to ban myself for next season to come for what I'm doing now (I would be honestly willing to do that) but I'll leave the honor for JJ and gunthug. And you honestly can ban me for future seasons, I don't mind. It's just, this is what I have to do for there to be any kind of justice in my head. (By the way, this is the reason why I didn't play and host in season 4 - so I don't potentially end up in a manager's team that could act unethically in my opinion). Also, I do not encourage any players, managers or hosts to take the route I did. I'll make this clear for once.

 

It's really sad this is what it has come down to. I'm amazed this event functioned this well for 6 whole seasons. It has been the biggest event of the whole game and it all worked due to the integrity and sportsmanship of the playerbase. However, this era has now come to an end. It's unfortunate but what can you do. I really didn't wanna take this path but if I didn't, I don't think I would do the right thing. Thanks and sorry.
