OU Leaderboard Tournament #1 (Monday, January 30th)

Welcome to the return of the Leader board tournaments, these will be run as an extension to the Community Combat system replacing the last CC of the selected tier in that month with this tournament.  January will be OU, February will be UU, March will be NU and so on.

 

1st Place Prize: $2,000,000 Pokeyen

2nd Place Prize: $1,000,000 Pokeyen

3rd & 4th Place Prize: $500,000 Pokeyen

Registration:

Registrations will open 15 minutes prior to the tournaments. You can register by clicking on the PvP menu option (Masterball icon) and then select "Tournament Signup".

For that we need ladder rewards outside of this tournament as well. Getting 1st on ladder means jack shit which is an issue.

They degrade monthly. If somebody goes inactive and doesn't maintain some wins every month to maintain their ranking somebody that is active will definitely pass them as long as they don't also go inactive.

I mean i know, still not a reset tho lol. Reset would start everybody from 0 and could motivate some to grab that top spot, there would actually be a point to play it

Not exactly in favor of a full reset but I hope the ELO ranks would be "compressed" a lot after every leaderboard tournament so that the # would keep the same but the point differences between ranks would be minimal so anyone can make their way to next leaderboard tournament.

Do you have to be in the top 16 to enter or just be on the leaderboards

The 16 participants will be chosen from the top position in the leaderboard onward. So if someone from the top 16 doesn't show up, then someone from the 17th position gets chosen accordingly. 

 

Being in the top 16 basically guarantees you a spot for this tournament.
