Why the hell is blaze fire blast a thing? Do you hit your typhlosion till he's 24% health so he can fire them off, because so many situations and calculations to be considered for you to even be in that position.

If you watched sweet vs Osuki in the TT, he used that to get the win vs a slowking

e: might have been a different match now that I think of it, either way point stands

How? Usage of sub makes every argument wrong, Life orb(i saw someone post LO blaze, not sure who), even worse, who in their right mind would consider LO blaze typh a stable sweeping potential when it dies in less than 3 turns. The only way is either figuring out how much damage you'd receive, which sure, is nice, or having spikes on your field, and working around to the point you're below 25%.

Below 33.4%. I agree with what you said tho. Typhlosion's sweeping/wallbreaking power is only accessible in unique circumstances which calls into question its overall sweeping/wallbreaking potential unlike Salamence that can spam Dclaw regardless of its HP percentage.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting abilities like that aren't like regular 25% things like berries per say.

Tier Council Message for Typhlosion:

Typhlosion

After the one month test of Typhlosion in UU the Tier Council has decided to ban Typhlosion from UU to BL1 under the Uber Offensive Characteristic. Typhlosion possesses an incredibly powerful 150 base STAB move in Eruption and coupled with high base special attack of 109 and speed of 100 it makes for a combination capable of sweeping the majority of the tier.

With 100 base speed Typhlosion can afford to take advantage of the special attack boost from Special Choice Band while still naturally out speeding a large portion of the tier and sweeping with little assistance. Revenge killers have the potential to scare Typhlosion, Swellow Manectric and Sneasel are the more notable pokemon that outspeed it as well as potential swift choice band users. However Typhlosion itself is capable of supporting a swift choice band set which forces these revenge killers to be wary. Life orb is another viable item for Typhlosion and provides the freedom of not being locked into a move while still giving an added power boost (at the cost of hp). Life orb allows Typhlosion to have an even wider movepool with access to earthquake, thunder punch and low kick/focus punch limiting some of Typhlosion's counters such as Miltank, Lanturn, Tentacruel and flash fire Pokemon while still being able to provide a powerful STAB fire blast.

Slowking, Grumpig and Miltank are Typhlosion's most reliable counters. Most if not all other UU Pokemon are at least 2hko by either eruption, one of Typhlosions coverage moves or lack the instant recovery necessary to stop Typhlosion repetitively. This puts great pressure on both team building and game play. Forcing a player to keep their Typhlosion counter near full hp in order to be able to safely switch in or risk being trampled by Typhlosion.

It is for the above reasons that Typhlosion has dominated UU in the last month and that the Tier Council has decided to ban Typhlosion under the Uber Offensive Characteristic. Also, it's OU by usage now so topkekleon for reading all this.
