[Unofficial] Team Tournament September (Saturday 1st Oct)

~Welcome to the unofficial PokeMMO Team Tournament of September 2016~

These are monthly competitive tournaments where teams can test their skill against each other.
Players battle as teams (3 at a time). Teams can switch out which members compete between rounds.

 

This month, the Team Tournament is held as unofficial due to restrictions and other official events running. I promised you guys a Team Tournament this month, but an official one wasn't possible for reasons outside my scope. This means that the winning team will not in the Hall of Fame, but the prize pool has been doubled to compensate for that.

 

We will have three types of battles per round. These battles are OU, UU & NU.

There will be three matches at a stage, the matches will fall into place as followed:
The top spot will be an OU match.
The middle spot will be an UU match.
The bottom spot will be a NU match

The winning team will receive:
 $1,250,000 each for the 3 winning players

 Guaranteed spot in next month's Team Tournament

 Player sprites on next month's tournament poster
 Entry into the PokeMMO Hall of Fame 
 

Notes:

• Disconnecting during a match will result in a DQ.
• Once your match is called you will have 10 minutes to report to the table. No time extensions will be given.
• Time clause is in effect for stalemate battles in round 1 and 2. When there is a tie (1-1) and the third match takes over an hour, a decision by the host may be made about the outcome of the duel.

It would be really cool if we could gather a large amount of people on teamspeak for this event too, perhaps make a temp channel for it and have a large group of spectators trashtalking / commentating on there alongside myself and the refs.

A small question tho, why can't you add the winning teams to the HoF? I mean I read the OP but it just seems kinda stupid for the HoF to miss 1 month and it is basically still a normal TT, but instead of it being posted in offcial events its posted in unofficial events. I pressume the refs will still be staff members. By all means I am not complaining, I am actually really happy you are doing this!

Because it's an unofficial, the HoF is only for official events.

The refs could be staff members who want to help out, they could also be players who I trust.

Excuse me , i can't see any maximum player limit can register, like max 10 players OR you can change players between rounds. Thats mean, only 3 players who start round 1 , will play at all event ?

I don't do registered players here cause unofficial and too much hassle, I just hope the players are fair and won't capitalize on the situation by switching teams during the tournament, The prize money only goes to the 3 players winning the finals.

It's unprecedented for an unofficial event to be put into the official Hall of Fame, I would not be against it as you know, but I'm trying to follow regulation.
