Esterina Posted September 18, 2016 Share Posted September 18, 2016 Hi there. I'll cut straight to the point! My Jolteon has 31/16/31/31/31/31. That gives it Dragon-type Hidden Power. I want to change its Hidden Power to Grass-type. The minimum IV change for that would be just -1 to SpAtk... ... so 31/16/31/31/31/31 -> 31/16/31/30/31/31. But is that what the NPC in Lavender Town will do? Will he go with that absolute minimum reduction? Or is there a randomness factor to it, and I would run the risk of heavily reducing Jolteon's IVs? I hope you can give me a clear answer on this... ... I don't want to mess up the Jolteon I spent so much time on breeding. :/ Greets Link to comment

This isn't guaranteed, but it's likely. The reduction is 0-5 from each stat, so you are likely to ruin your pretty much perfect Pokemon.
