Hidden Power Physical

LordStifler

Question

I particularly like the Hidden Power before when some were physical...

Option 01
Only When using the TM 10 to learn the Hidden Power set if you want Physical or Special

Option 02
Create a new TM, Maybe TM00 Hidden-Power Physical ^^

Pros
Reusing Pokemons that were not used for not having a specific moves
Or even for not having a stab moves with power 60+

eg.
Arbok without a good move Poison physical with power 60+.
Nidoqueen without a good move Poison physical with power 60+.
Nidoking without a good move Poison physical with power 60+.
Arcanine without a good move Fire physical with power 60+.
Tentacruel without a good move Poison physical with power 60+.
Rapidash without a good move Fire physical with power 60+.
Dewgong without a good move Ice physical with power 60+.
Muk without a good move Poison physical with power 60+.
Cloyster without a good move Water physical with power 60+.
Hypno without a good move Psychic physical with power 60+.
Weezing without a good move Poison physical with power 60+.
Scyther without a good move Bug physical with power 60+.
Pinsir without a good move Bug physical with power 60+.
Tauros Why has a poor variety of physical moves.
Lapras without a good move Ice physical with power 60+.
Flareon without a good move Fire physical with power 60+.
Meganium without a good move Grass physical with power 60+.
Ariados without a good move Bug or Poison physical with power 60+.
Crobat without a good move Poison physical with power 60+.
Girafarig without a good move Psychic physical with power 60+.
Forretress without a good move Bug physical with power 60+.
Qwilfish without a good move Poison physical with power 60+.
Scizor without a good move Bug physical with power 60+.
Sneasel without a good move Dark physical with power 60+.

Among other endless combinations ...

Cons
The cry is free.
In my point of view I have nothing against

Arcanine without a good move Fire physical with power 60+. Flame Wheel
Rapidash without a good move Fire physical with power 60+. Flame Wheel (again)
Hypno without a good move Psychic physical with power 60+. Why would Hypno need a physical Psychic move? Metagross would be a better example.
Weezing without a good move Poison physical with power 60+. Again, why?
Sneasel without a good move Dark physical with power 60+. Bite, Feint Attack and Thief

As for Forretress, EQ is generally better since it can OHKO Magneton, though HP Bug would be nice if Alakazam was a problem. Arbok and Ariados would still be shit though.

While some of the others getting a STAB move would be great, it would surely fuck up the current meta.

So... you want this game to be all complete and total offensive Pokemon, because walls would be practically useless with perfect coverage on all physical Pokemon. Or it would become nothing but walls again because you would need to have three physical wand special walls just to safely swap between and take those coverage moves.
Hidden Power became exclusively special for a reason. Physical Pokemon have always had too much raw power. Their main flaw is that most lack ideal coverage, unlike special Pokemon. However, special Pokemon tend to be less powerful in terms of offense and are all stopped cold by Chansey/Blissey. We do not have a single physical wall that takes neutral damage from all types (Fighting is exclusively physical in this Gen apart from Hidden Power).

How dare you include flareon into that list of damaged pokemon.

Its true it could used a fire move but its a very strong physical attacker boasting decent sp def.

before you suggest such atrocious things. How about some true supporting arguments on how this would help to balance this game or how it would actually offer something positive.

Physical hidden power is just a bad idea.

Your points are invalid here.

The hidden power has become totally special, but new moves were added to supply this deficiency, as the game is based on Gen III but with upgraded moves, I think it would be a good idea to have a hidden physical power to the game become more fair.

I disagree with your idea.

Hidden power should remain a special attack.

Possible other fixes to your complaint involve adding new moves.

Not modifying old moves.

Making physical hidden power seems like it would take away from this game.

Is it even legit pokemon that hidden power physical would exist?

Not to keep argument against your suggestion but I think that this just seems like a tiny thing that could cause a huge problems in game mechanics.

I suggest again that we only really need some new moves in the game not modified old ones.

I prefer  Hidden Power Physical and Hidden Power Special than moves of new generations.

You have to keep in that mind Hidden Power gives any Pokemon access to a moderately powerful of any type. While new moves were implemented to make up for removing Hidden Power from some Pokemon, these new moves were carefully distributed only to Pokemon that the original creators felt needed them. For example, Salamence did not have a 70+ power physical Flying move in Gen 4, but in Gen 3, it had HP Flying. Same for Charizard. Tyranitar no longer had access to a physical Bug move. Acanine no longer had a Ground- or Rock-type move. There are many Pokemon with an attack stat of 120+ in Gen 3. Allowing these Pokemon to have access to an attack of any type they choose with 70 made them far too powerful.

I think this suggestion would greatly improve the metagame.

I respectfully disagree.

I feel this would allow far too many exploits.

It would cause inbalances and cause pokemon which are already viable to become too powerful.

I highly doubt that this will be implemented due to Physical Hidden Power being a Generation 3 feature. The development team have been trying to update battle mechanics as much as possible which we can see from the Gen 4 Physical/Special split and the Gen 4 battle items. We used to have Physical Hidden Powers but this was changed by developers, so I really doubt that they will revert back to something that they have changed; especially considering what a big impact it would have.

By the way game feels one sided..

Sp. Atk pokes are over powered with one exeption Dragon Dancers.

Also we have Life Orbs but not Evaliote in items we have Atk but no Def.

If this game is going to follow a Gen Meta do it from start.

Don't just put random things in game that your hands can grab.
