When I saw a player discussing Chansey, it sparked an idea in my head. I would like to purpose a plan that gives players the chance to reverse their evolutions, but not be too easy. I was thinking that the player should pay 250k + Everstone in order to do this reversion. Due to an economic concern that Lazaaro has pointed out, shinies will not be allowed to devolve. I would also like to thank Rigamorty, Kouteshi, Raederz, and TheChampionMike for mentioning the stone evolutions. So far, stone evolutions, trade evolutions, and shinies will not be allowed to go through this process. I am also going to credit TheChampionMike for advising me for a price drop from 400k to 250k. Lastly, thanks to concerns brought up by TheChampionMike, I would like this feature to have a black list of pokemon who are unable to go through this process like Eevee and Magicarp as examples. I had some NPCs I would like to show that can do the job for Kanto and Hoenn (I'll call them candidates).

Reasoning for Candidate 1 = Located in the Celadon Hotel, I think this place needs more attention. This elderly lady might know a thing or two about how to devolve pokemon. I mean, who would not trust a sweet old lady to do the job?

Candidate 2 =

Reasoning for Candidate 2 = Located in the Cinnabar Laboratory, this guy is a scientist just waiting for potential. He came up with the Reverse Evolution Theorem and he is waiting to test it out. Would you like to be his subject?

Candidate 3

Spoiler

Reasoning for Candidate 3 = Located at the top of Pewter City's Museum, this scientist specialises in the past. He has mastered the art of devolution and is willing to test out his skills. Would you like to feel the past?

Candidate 4

Reasoning for Candidate 4 = None other than Dr. Fuji himself which is located in Lavander Town. He expresses his love of pokemon and would like to express his ability to devolve a pokemon. In his house, he had a Golduck, but used his powers to devolve it into a Psyduck to make it more friendly towards the children in his house. Would you be willing to let Dr. Fuji devolve your pokemon through love and care?

Reasoning for Candidate 1 = Located in the Slateport Warehouse, he looks like a scientist with a big devise. Last time, he told me that he is waiting for the PokeMMO developers to let this device go into use. He calls it the Pokemon Devolver 101. All he needs for the machine to work is some cash and an everstone and toda, the pokemon has devolved!

Candidate 2

Reasoning for Candidate 2 = Located in the Mossdeep Space Center, this scientist has the skill to devolve pokemon. He is still testing his skills out, do you want to help him hone his skills of devolution?

Candidate 3

Spoiler

Reasoning for Candidate 3 = Located in Rustboro's Devo Corp, he is right below the fossil resurrecter. He specialises in the art of devolution, but his laptop is down for the time being. Once the developers reboot his devolution laptop, would you be willing to let him use his laptop on your evolved pokemon?

Credit goes to Makota for giving me a new format for these suggestion examples.

I would like to say that I cannot tell how many times people want to devolve their Blissy or Meowth. I want to be able to provide an outlet for them to devolve their pokemon, but also make it a bit difficult to devolve so that players can be a little more careful when their pokemon is about to evolve.

So if you got an expansive shiny you can just revert it back to its original form without breeding it again, so that's it's more valuable.
Apply it to all the shinies, and then rip the economy.
What?

Thank you, I will put a certain clause in my idea that will prevent an economic break down.

This simply wouldn't be viable.

Eevee evolves into Jolteon. Jolteon learns thunderbolt. Jolteon reverts to Eevee. It's now an Eevee with thunderbolt.

Don't apply to eevee as well, because it has several evolutions bf

I don't think this is ever going to be a thing. Seeing as technically there is already the option to rebreed the pokemon, which surely is cheaper than 400k unless its something crazy like a 5x31. Besides that, this would mean you would have crazy moves on pokemon like eevee. Even if you block stone evolutions you still have umbreon and espeon. And on top of that its your own mistake for letting it evolve isn't it? But that's my opinion on it.

I'll modify my suggestion, you will be credited.

You will also be credited as well

Just block it for :

Shinies

Stone evolution

Trade evolution

So it will only be used to correct a fail.

Good idea :)

You will also be credited.

I am going to knock down the price to 250k. I am also going to credit you for the stone idea. Why not have a pokeblacklist like Eevee or Magikarp?

Why dont just make an option for free, when the poke just evolved, learn no moves, and did no more fight since he evolved ?

I would rather have a price tag on the evolutions so that way this feature is not overused.

been request before, it has been denied due to this causing illegal move sets upon devolution, e.g. Breloom learning Focus Punch and then Devolving into Shroomish (who cannot normally learn Focus Punch).

This would affect Little Cup in questionable ways.

Even if you state "you can just make them forget moves they wouldn't normally learn" then you would have to factor in the possibility of a pokemon where the ONLY move it knows is one that would be illegal causing it to be unable to evolve, the entire thing would be quite conveluded

I don't think this is necessary since this is only needed upon a mistake being made, and yes it does suck to make mistakes and you regret them, but you are meant to learn from your mistakes.

Also please spoiler your images in your threads, having visual representations of what you are talking about is okay but when it artificially doubles your post's length then it  is getting a little out of hand.

Good morning Matoka, I would like to say that there could be a Pokemon Black list that would prevent any pokemon from taking advantage of this feature. I'll put spoilers in this thread and credit you for the idea.

There is not value issue if you just release it as an "anti-fail".

No Reversion for caught already evolved.

No Reversion after 10 minutes after evolution.

No Reversion if moves learned.

Just an Anti Fail.

I never failed like that, but, regarding how much I can lose, being just inattentive for 15 seconds, I think this option would be cool.

Btw, this wont have to be a commercial Evolution Reversion, only an AntiFail.
