Here are some examples as to certain scenarios where it might be necessary...
Scenario 1:
Just wanted to check out how KaynineXL is doing....
Scenario 2:
Helping out someone who is new to the game.
I think this is good for better communication and I think links should not be just restricted for duelling purposes. If Noad wants me to see her collection of cats in game, she can invite me to a link and then I can skype into her sprite. I had this idea when I was helping out a newer player and at the same time, I wanted to go do an Island Run. I also have friends who are extremely busy and I would like to see how they are doing. I have a general concept of how to do this...
Step 1:
Go to "Community"
Step 2:
(would be nice to add this option) Go to "Link Video"
Step 3:
There will be three options: "Activate Link Video", "Disable Link Video", or "Cancel"
Step 4:
Click "Activate Link Video" and a screen about the size of your friend list screen should appear....
Thank you zibox for being a extra!
What happens if your in a private meeting with someone in game and you don't want to be rude and kick the person from the link? Not a problem! Do the following steps....
Step 1:
Go to "Community"
Step 2:
Go to "Link Video"
Step 3:
There will be three options: "Activate Link Video", "Disable Link Video", or "Cancel"
Step 4:
Go to "Disable Link Video" and now you can have a personal meeting with the person in question.
If you don't want to take the time to do these steps, you can just "Leave Link", but as a courtesy, it is advised that you disable the link video so that way the person in question does not get offended.
Overall, Link Skype is in my view extremely helpful to those who are new to the game and need you to guide them or for people who want to meet someone, but also not want to deviate from their in game activities.
Spoiler
Thank you to KaynineXL and JANVK for being my actors and zibox for being an unintended extra.
