Remember that mid khazix was completely meta in season 2. I mean if you go armor pen marks and the opposing midlane usually goes scaling health (so he has like 20 armor), and khazix thunderlords gets added armor pen from precision mastery. You e-w-q-auto (or smth like that), get the thunderlords proc off, a slow and your attacks do basically almost true damage. It's not bad when you think about it.
