[Implemented] Implement Johto Starters via Professor Birch

Recommended Posts

Another alternative that could work would be:

OT own all Kanto pokemon --> Go to Professor Oak and receive 1 of the 3 johto starters (Including having gotten Mewtwo once)

OT own all Johto pokemon --> Go to Bill / Celio and receive 1 of the 3 johto starters

OT own all Hoenn pokemon --> Go to Professor Birch and receive 1 of the 3 johto starters (Including having gotten Rayquaza once)

Means you can obtain all 3 of them without trading and allows for progressive completion of the pokedex with spaced out rewards.

Oh, and they really shouldn't be gift pokemon otherwise we can't breed them.

Too bad we can't acquire Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Latias, Latios, Groudon, Kyogre, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Milotic, Ho-Oh, Lugia, and maybe a few others I can't think off the top of my head. Otherwise this would be the way to go.

Any pokes we cannot obtain currently are simply not listed in the pokedex, so this is not a concern for what I mentioned.

I would like a permanent implementation of the starters rather than a temporary one. I would like to see the three starters used in comp.

Yeah, i agree i don't see why it should be temporary.I want dem comp feraligtr,Typlosion and Meganium :P

P.S: Make feraligtr UU :3

I see some ways to add them in the game

-Swarms

-Unlock them after completing the pokedex, so we can catch them after talking w Professor uguu

-Purchasable in casino by coins

-Add them in the wild like normals pokemons

Thats just some in the top of ma head....LF answers from staff and feedback and more ideas from community, but imo we should get them ASAP since i dont think we gonna get Johto anytime soon...may ma grandchildrens can see that

Actually i think that more then one of the suggested alternatives would work pretty good.

Personally i would like to see after beating both the E4, you get to battle Birch which will have a little bit higher lvl cap then the E4, if you beat him you get rewarded one of the starters and after that he tells you where to find the other two in the wild, which will have a 3% appear rate.

Either way, if they implement the starters i would be happy anyway

I would rather see a higher appearance rate. I would say approximately a 10% percent encounter rate which is still quite low, but still obtainable. A combo of my ways of implementation would be a bit confusing to some people. Preferably, I would like just one way to obtain the Johto starters because it would cause less confusion. If I had to choose one alternative from the four given, I would pick alternative one because completing the elite 4 in both regions is a pretty straight forward concept.
