Battle Tower Duplicate Item

Searched and came up with nothing, so posting a new topic.

 

So I just started playing battle tower, and apparently there is a rule that forbids you from using the same item on your party. I'm fine with that rule and all, but shouldn't your NPC opponent have to follow that rule also? I'm pretty sure I've seen more than one leftovers on their party but in the meanwhile you can only have one max. Either make it so we can carry more than one of the same item, or make it so your opponent follow the same rule. Sounds pretty fair doesn't it?

I don't remember any such instances in my own experience, but neither have I looked for them. I do, however, remember seeing a lot of Shell Bells in place of extra Leftovers. I think you are mistaken.

The point still stands regardless it is shell bell, leftovers, or whatever; NPC can use same item while players cannot.

I think part of this is due to the fact NPC's teams are semi-randomly? pulled from a pool of pokemon whereas yours can be assembled with thought to work well together.

I have never seen NPCs with the same items on two or more pokémon, you might be mistaken.

Late post, but Google has brought me here several times, so I decided to answer. The answer is "no".

 

Also, this individual was suggesting leftovers AND shell bells, not two of either.
