Sweet Scent Guide - Someone with patience pls take over

Recommended Posts

Guys I appreciate the input, great job by everyne especially axx. But can you please use the template provided in the first post? This will make everything easier for everyone. I know 10 encounters is far from accurate, but it gives an overview to what each area produces, and helps us identify the best EV training spots.

Very good contributions so far. A small specification would be that duskill only gives special defense.

As for the rest of the people, I am really thrilled by the large number of contributions, this guide looks beefy so far and we have already found the best places to train HP, SDef and Speed. I would like people to try and find exclusive places for training Atk, Def and SAtk, where you constantly get 5-10 EVs.

I took EV yield info from ingame pokedex and that's what it shown 1 def + 1 sp. def. for duskull I never really tested what evs it actually gave cause i run away from the hordes immediately : (

Ever Grande City(Victory Road)
3 Golbats + 2 Medicham(2/10)
4 Golbats + 1 Medicham(2/10)
5 Loudred = 10HP EVs

Best place for hp ev training since Pokémon Centre is about 20 tiles away.

Also, it says it would have no effect on entrances to caves/water.( idk bug or intentional)

afaik entrace tiles have no encounter information, so you need to move a bit into the cave

I think we are pretty much done.

HP = Route 114, Surfing

Att = Treasure Beach (sometimes 1 horde per trip, but PC is "close" and regular repel lasts 2 trips)

Def = Tangela Patch

Sp Att = Cape Brink, Surf (avoid slowpoke/bro)

SpDef = Trainer Tower

Speed = Icefall cave

And not talking about mixed places, which you can optimize your choices...

Now I'm thinking about a Horde Slave

I did a Smeargle Lvl 100 (ignore nature/IVs, its lvl 100 vs lvl 30 horde, but i did adamant due to 3/4 moves = physical)

252 Att EV

252 Sp Att EV

Air Cutter (to kill grass)

Razor Leaf (to kill water/rocks)

Rock Slide (to kill flying)

Earthquake/Swift (i chose earthquake because its physical and hits hard, swift you can get STAB and doesn't need to care about LEVITATE pokes)

Speed = Icefall cave

Other than that, seems pretty useful

How far are that from PC/Healling NPC?

Edit: Did you mean Magma Hideout for Def? Or are you hiding some precious info?  :ph34r:

Mt Ember shares def with sp.att, and tops 5 Sp. Att per encounter

Cape brink shares hp with sp.att, and tops 10 sp. Att per encounter, and its really near PC and doesn't need to use repel.
