lilyek
EVs and IVs : EVs : EVs boost depends on the last number of the Base Stat. Here is how many EVs you need depending the last number of the Base Stat (with 31 IVs) : 0 (ex. BS = 10) : 36 EVs = +1 point / 116 EVs = +2 points / 196 EVs = +3 points. 1 (ex. BS = 11) : 28 EVs = +1 point / 108 EVs = +2 points / 188 EVs = +3 points. 2 (ex. BS = 12) : 20 EVs = +1 point / 100 EVs = +2 points / 180 EVs = +3 points. 3 (ex. BS = 13) : 12 EVs = +1 point / 92 EVs = +2 points / 172 EVs = +3 points / 252 EVs = +4 points. 4 (ex. BS = 14) : 4 EVs = +1 point / 84 EVs = +2 points / 164 EVs = +3 points / 244 EVs = +4 points. 5 (ex. BS = 15) : 76 EVs = +1 point / 156 EVs = +2 points / 236 EVs = +3 points. 6 (ex. BS = 16) : 68 EVs = +1 point / 148 EVs = +2 points / 228 EVs = +3 points. 7 (ex. BS = 17) : 60 EVs = +1 point / 140 EVs = +2 points / 220 EVs = +3 points. 8 (ex. BS = 18) : 52 EVs = +1 point / 132 EVs = +2 points / 212 EVs = +3 points. 9 (ex. BS = 19) : 44 EVs = +1 point / 124 EVs = +2 points / 204 EVs = +3 points. For example, if we want to have the max speed on Charmander : his Base Stat speed is 65, we need 236 EVs for +3 points in speed. Now, if you have less than 31 IVs (for example 30 IVs speed for an Hidden Power, ...), you need to add 4 more EVs, in my Charmander example, if his speed IV is 30 you need 240 EVs for the +3 points in speed. IVs : Like EVs, you don't need 31 IV in each stat to be maxed. Like EVs, th eminimal IVs needed depend to the last number of the Base Stat, but if you choose to take the minimal IV, you'll need 252 EVs to have the same boost that you would have with 31 IV. Last Base Stat number / Minimal IV needed : 0 / 17. 1 / 15. 2 / 13. 3 / 31. 4 / 29. 5 / 27. 6 / 25. 7 / 23. 8 / 22. 9 / 20. lilyek
Items : Most items work as well as they do in the higher tiers, but some common items work a bit differently in Little Cup. Here are some items usefull and useless in Little Cup : The most useful items : Oran Berry : heals 10 HP, most of Little Cup have around 20 HP, which represent 50% of their HP. The next item is better but if you don't have this one, it is a good alternative. Choice Band : lock you in one move, but give you a 50% boost in Atk, in a hyper offensive tiers like Little Cup, it is a good held item to give you an idea, a good physical sweeper holding a Choice Band has its Atk boosted by 8 in general. Speed Choice Band : lock you in one move, but give you a 50% boost in Speed, in a tiers like Little Cup where some pokemon have the same speed, it is a good held item. Special Choice Band : lock you in one move, but give you a 50% boost in Sp.Atk, in a hyper offensive tiers like Little Cup, it is a good held item to give you an idea, a good special sweeper holding a Choice Band has its Sp.Atk boosted by 8 in general. Life Ball : an item that increases the moves power by 30%. Every time it is used, the user loses 10% of its HP The most useless items : Sitrus Berry : heals 25% of HP, a good item in higher tiers, but in Little Cup that represent like 5 HP, it is definitively a bad choice when you can used Oran Berry or Berry Juice. Leftovers : heals 1/16th of your HP at the end of every turn. Widely used in higher tiers, in Little Cup that is a 1 HP healing more often, so it is very unhelpful here. Shell Bell : the holder recovers 1/8th of the damage it inflicts on its opponents, in Little Cup that is a 1 or 2 HP healing more often, so it is very unhelpful here. Spaintakula
I don't personally need this since I can do it on my own, but it's deifnitively a needed guide for pretty much everyone. Really hope LC becomes more of a thing in the forseeable future, gj with this Link to comment

hihats
forgive my ignorance, what is the level cap for little cup and how can one participate? I don't pvp, but i'd be interested in this format. Link to comment

hihats
OK thanks. I'm guessing to EV train your pokes you either use an amnesia brace or spend 200k on vitamins/steroids? Since you don't want to level and 5x exp share only goes so far? Link to comment
lilyek
OK thanks. I'm guessing to EV train your pokes you either use an amnesia brace or spend 200k on vitamins/steroids? Since you don't want to level and 5x exp share only goes so far? You can also buy vitamins with Battle Point (200 BP each), which takes as much time as EVing with the "classical" method. But yes Amnesia Brace is good to refine EVs. Edited February 22, 2016 by lilyek Link to comment
phildobaggins520
how exactly does berry juice work? i have it as a held item on one of my togepi cup pokemon but it's not restoring any hp, even when my health gets low i'd like to know what i'm doing b4 the tournament saturday lol Link to comment
GergFalerg
The part about if the IV is 30, you need to add +4 EVs. Does that continue down? Like 29 IV > +8 EVs then 28 IV > +12 EVs or is that not how it works? Also, I looked at the oran berry description in game and it's the same as sitrus berry now. Thanks nvm, found the answer to my question x) Edited April 2, 2017 by GergFalerg aha Link to comment
