new linux user here ^^

Hi !

I am new here :-)

 

Today  find this game via a video on youtube :-)

 

I'am 27 years old, and the pokemon was a realy good game for me when I was shild :-)

 

So, I'am on linux (ubuntu-gnome 15.04) at 15.10...

 

And the game don't start, crash on start :-(


:~$ '/home/lio/.pokemmo/PokeMMO.sh'
Erreur : impossible de trouver ou charger la classe principale com.pokeemu.client.Client

so I look on the forum for to find help, but I can't create new topic in support... :-(

 

I speak french by default, so, it's perhaps for this reason, I dont find where is writte why I can not create now topic in support... :/

 

So I send a topic in general discution who redirect me here :-)

 

So, i am here ^^

 

There is an other way that the forum to find help ? There is an irc or xmpp channel ?

 

I hope soon to can try this game :P

Hi man. Do You have whole game archive unpacked in that /home/lio/.pokemmo/ path?

I know now! You should:
 

//Go to that directory
cd /home/lio/.pokemmo

//And to avoid different problems with access permissions, set it executable for yourself:
chmod +x PokeMMO.sh

//Finally run the game:
./PokeMMO.sh

PokeMMO.sh can't "find" other files since You are running it in other directory.

I know it's a little bit late. But if your appetite for PokeMMO haven't fell try it.

You can also make .desktop file to run it in that directory, if You want to, I can help you with that.
