Ok I may be lying about English not being my first language, it's a good excuse though.

Is this your subtle way of saying that you want Linoone back?

Also, pickup will trigger if you catch a pokemon,

Worth noting as well that Linoone has access to trick which can help when you're farming items(such as in the power plant should you be looking for Metal coat/Magnet/Light ball).
Also thank you for making this guide because I've been sorely tempted to.
Need to correct you on how pick up works, you don't kill the pokemon. You faint them.

I don't do fainting, I kill.

Like repeatedly abusing them to the point of near-death and leaving them to lick their wounds

is a better image? Violence is violence no matter how you sugarcoat it.

Great job on putting this guide together Kaynine. The community will benefit.

No Goldeneyes. This is a subtle way me of telling you to go and explore the world with my Linoone and go do some research.

*Pats on head*

Already noted.

Will Note

Thank you for your excellent contribution Goldeneyes, as usual.

So; First in party must be a poke with Ability Pick-up.
But does the first poke also have to sweep to get the item?
Or can you switch to your main sweeper with the same effort?

I think you can switch to your sweeper as long as your Pickup Pokemon is your first party member and is alive.

I'v never actually tried though.

Finally we going to get this going in a good way :)

You can switch, it works. And better : it works even if your pickup pokemon faints during the battle.

How is it better if your Pickup Pokemon faints in battle? You would need to heal it before a new encounter? I'v tried using pickup while its faint, it didn't work.

it doesn't need to be the Pickup user to sweep, you can switch.
