Design your own Pokeball contest winners

As usual we were so impressed at the amount of high quality entries we received for this contest. It was a lot of fun looking through each individual Pokeball idea and finding our favourites.

1st Place: SirVector

"Replay Ball"

The concept and design of this Pokeball was great and judges felt that this is something that could really benefit a PokeMMO player. With the new breeding system, trainers are forever in need of Dittos or breeders with a 31 IV here or there. The downside to this is the amount of Pokeballs you can go through to get there. The aptly named "Replay Ball" allows you to release unwanted catches and reuse the ball until you find what you are looking for. This is a really original and well thought out idea and it was clear that SirVector had really tried to come up with a creation to benefit players. The sprite design was also delightful and you can really picture it in your bag's inventory. Another good edition was that the Pokeball was fairly expensive and difficult to access, which makes a lot of sense for how useful this would be to the average player. Overall a solid entry that impressed us all, congratulations SirVector!

2nd Place: Moetal

"Lightning Ball"

This was a very eye catching entry, Moetal went to a lot of effort to sell us this idea. The Pokeball design was realistic in terms of Pokeballs already in existence and it is clear that the ball has an electric theme to it. We loved the idea of the ball leaving a status effect on the wild Pokemon if it fails to catch it, increasing it's chance of being captured in the next Pokeball. The ball had a great theme to it, with an increased rate of capture for Electric, Steel and Water types that fits with a "Lightning Ball". Overall this was an excellent entry with some really ingenious features and a simple but fitting design.

Honourable Mentions

ItzJOSH: "Valor Ball"

We all felt the design of this ball was amazing, the colours make it really eye catching. The use is also helpful for players using a Spore / False Swipe Smeargle whilst catching Pokemon.

Mihren: "Breeder Ball"

This is a really cutely designed Pokeball that we felt would be popular with players who like to put their final breeds in attractive Pokeballs. We also felt the added bonus of quicker hatch time was definitely a helpful time saver.

overToasted: "Lock-On Ball"

This Pokeball prevents every player's worst nightmare - encountering a shiny in the Safari Zone that flees. Every trainer would be sure to have one of these tucked away safely in their inventory. The design of this ball is also impressive and I personally loved the Weezing theme.
