To be fair, if there aren't many of that shiny around, it's best to post it to alert the community. Look what happened with Vulpix and now Growlithe, if we didn't know about it we woulda been ripped off by now. It's safe to say that there's 99% positives of this than the 1% negative.

 

If someone decided to spam shiny commons, that's a different story, but that isn't what's happening rn.
