I'm sorry if you are tired of complaints but I can't go on like this.. This is too hardcore of a breeding system for me.. I just want a chill session catching ditto's and breeding my favorites.. But this is too much for me , I have emotional ties to all the pokemon I have. I came to pokemmo to play pokemon how it was intended. But this goes against everything I love about pokemon.. Once again I will appologize if you do like this system but I can't enjoy it at all.. At least have both methods as a choice. Thanks for your time.

I am not trying to breed competetively. I am not trying to make money from my breeding.  I like to chill breed my favorites , I'm not looking to throw away 2 pokemon everytime I want to breed. This system only benefits the veterans.

 

Preety much done with this game until the original system is returned , which I doubt will happen. Sitting on 300 hours played.

I come back from a long break to get back into pokemmo and continue to breed pokemon that I love based on how cool I think they are rather than how strong they can be... Who the heck thought it was a good idea to not get back the pokemon your breeding with ?? So everyone who played the game before this update had a clear advantage over all the people who start with this crap update in game.. Great.

I never lost progress , but If I breed I will lose progress. By losing 2 pokemon I only get one back. And who knows if I will be happy with the result.

Sure, the gap exists. But breeding now has more control into it, and after the upcoming update it will become even easier. Joining a competitive team can also help you improve, borrow comps, so it's not like an Apocalypse.

I've seen a handful of new users get into breeding just fine, however I can recognize that it's hard to do on ones own which is why I'm working on an introductory guide to help bridge the gap between new and old players by supplying new players with useful information. 
In the meantime kieth's advice is really good.  Getting into a team can really help you get on your feet.  After all without the appropriate knowledge everything is difficult, and I can give a firsthand account of how difficult it is to learn things all on your own.
The team doesn't even have to be competitive centered though, it can be a decent all around team like Pyroknights used to be.

Nothing was wrong with the old system , And how would a team help  ? Who wants to let you kill off their pokemon ? I would say the game has been made more solo based than team based. Before you could barrow a pokemon to breed with and return it. Now you dont get anything back.

The team isn't only to get breeders, being a part of a social group with other players is beneficial for a number of reasons:

1. Information: Rather than struggling to find answers for questions on your own, whether they be about breeding or comp play etc., it's a whole lot easier to just take advice from someone who already knows the answers.
2. Trading: Even in rather small teams you can often score discounts with teamates on things, as well as ask them to lend you comps items etc. 
3. Socializing:  MMOs are designed to be social, and Teams are a very fun aspect of our game.  Playing games with friends greatly adds to the enjoyment of the game. 

Sure sometimes games change and the mechanics may seem strange and unfamiliar at first, I can relate.  I hated EoC in Runescape when it first came out, the update changed everything I loved about the game.  Does that mean it's a bad game, or that it's unplayable?  Nah.  It's still an enjoyable game, it just made some changes that needed to be made.

 

tl dr: Give the game a chance before you hate it.

 

EDIT:  If you're interested in joining a team Vale might be happy to have you, however look through the Round Table and find one you like~

Are we elitist because we played more than you did? In any case, is that relevant to the discussion?

 

I told you to join a competitive team if you feel like the breeding harms you as a perfectionist player/breeder. Teams give away breeders, and if you breed alongside teammates you can swap wild catches to create a close-to-perfect final product.

 

If you are just a casual, breeding should not be that complex to you. What would you even breed for, since IVs should not matter to you? I don't understand what you expect from this game, so help me there please.

I have to disagree with all what you've said here .. it is much worth than what i have thought first XD even after 8 months of that ... update ... and calling that the poll is outdated and easy to manipulate is a wrong assumption since it can be manipulated either way and given that it has more than double the votes against the new mech. even the ones defending the new mech admitted its validity in voting but called the majority "short sighted" and don't know whats good for them "ask DS if you want to confirm XD"

 

anyway i lost all hope for it to be back like it was once before "fun" and i decided to wait until it is a 1-2 years old experiment so we can call it beyond doubt as a failure experiment.

I just want braces at 5k, and pokemons that give 4-6 EV points for all the stats ( ATK-DEF-SP.ATK-SP.DEF-SPEED ) like the HP spot for marill & azumarill, otherwise i'm enjoying this new breeding system, especially if the hidden power thing will be easier in the upcoming update.

5k braces doesn't take away the poke-grinding nor making it fun to mix movesets and natures. but will definitely make the game playable again.

We need 5k braces, narrowed IVs and less expensive vitamins, and berries.

They should totally create 6 spots, each with good pokes for training each stat, all these spots should be placed near.

This way people only focusing on ev training have an easier way, and people ev training while shiny hunting can still do their things.

Agree to disagree then :) your fun isn't fun to me and my fun isn't fun to you .. if we made another poll today it would still outclass the new breeding even though most of the old breeding supporters has either quit or left the game for the time being but still many of the current players would rather the old one or at least having their parent kept alive .. but once again lets just wait and hope for the best :)
