Aerodactyl is gonna be so OP it won't even be funny.

Fun idea for tournament though, and great prize.

Aerodactyl is certainly a strong pick, but I'm not sure if it's enough to ruin the fun.

Solrock can heal away anything but crunch:

252 Atk Choice Band Aerodactyl Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Solrock: 51-60 (28.8 - 33.8%) -- 95.9% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

While claydol is another strong pick to take rock slides and hit back with perfect coverage ice beams:

252 Atk Choice Band Aerodactyl Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Claydol: 21-26 (12.5 - 15.5%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Skarmory walls every move aerodactyl can come up with, but I'm not sure what it will do back (toxic or counter?)

252 Atk Choice Band Aerodactyl Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 36-42 (20.9 - 24.4%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery

Weezing is another wall that survives thanks to pain split, and can be annoying with thunderbolt and explosion:

252 Atk Choice Band Aerodactyl Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 40-48 (23.2 - 27.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Gligar can wall it to some extent, and come back with agility/swords dance, although I'm not quite sure it has the bulk and offense to do both things:
252 Atk Choice Band Aerodactyl Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gligar: 42-52 (24.4 - 30.2%) -- 0.4% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

This is a jolly banded aerodactyl. Most likely you can afford to run adamant, as you will only lose to possible jolly swellow. Without band, even adamant aerodactyl can't break solrock (if you use taunt you get knocked out by rock slide), it will get itself killed against claydol's ice beams and it will allow gligar to set up on it.

Gengar looks to be a beast, and you will pretty much be forced to run a pursuit trapper to revenge kill it. Gyarados is possibly a monster, but since just about everything will run something to hit it for super effective damage, I'm not sure if you can ever set it up.

Ice is the only type with perfect coverage, although electric and rock seems to be much stronger types, since most of the good pokemon are weak to one or the other. The only pokemon resisting both rock and electric is claydol.

I'm looking forward to see how this mess turns out.

Gengar is most likely too powerful for this tournament, judging by the number of pokemon that can actually survive a hit and do something back to it.

[spoiler]

Charizard- nearly ohko'ed and outsped by gengar

Butterfree- >butterfree
Pidgeot- not viable, outsped and rekt by gengar nonetheless
Fearow- same as pidgeot
Crobat- outspeeds gengar, but cannot ohko, somewhat of a check/counter regardless
Farfetch'd- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Dodrio- outsped and ohko'ed by gengar
Scyther- outsped and 37% to be ohkoed, cannot ohko in return
Gyarados- outsped and ohko'ed
Aerodactyl- outspeeds gengar but can only ohko with crunch, will count this as a check
Noctowl- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Ledian- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Togetic- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Xatu- outsped and ohko'ed by gengar (sp defensive xatu can take a shadow ball but wont ohko with psychic then)
Jumpluff- speed ties gengar and is ohko'ed, cannot ohko in return
Yanma- can outspeed gengar after a protect, but can't hurt gengar and ohko'ed by gengar
Murkrow- outsped and ohko'ed by gengar
Gligar- outsped and 2hko'ed by gengar, cannot ohko in return
Delibird- no one will run this, still loses to gengar

Swellow- outspeeds gengar but cannot ohko, gengar ohkos in return
Pelipper- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Masquerain-no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Ninjask- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Altaria- specially defensive set is the best at taking hits, only fearing a 2hko from hp ice/icy wind, although only 3hkos gengar
Tropius- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Haunter- hi gengar's younger brother
Gengar- speed ties yo
Weezing- outsped and 2hko'ed by gengar, cannot ohko
Misdreavus- outsped and 2hko'ed by gengar, cannot ohko
Unown- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Flygon- 2hko'ed by shadow ball/ohko'ed by hp ice/icy wind, can ohko with crunch or dragon claw, but still outsped
Lunatone- ohko'ed/2hko'ed by shadow ball, depending on rolls, can possibly ohko in return
Solrock- outsped and ohko'ed
Claydol- outsped and 2hko'ed, cannot ohko unless special attack investment
Duskull- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
Chimecho- no one will run this, still loses to gengar
