OrangeManiac's NU Competitive guide

To be fair, Shelgon got a pretty good typing and remains one of the best wisher of the tier.

And despite being a wisher/defensive wall, he is still able to do decent damage with double-edge and keep the pressure on.

He is not unviable yet, but if sneasel comes to NU, that is another story.

I just think sneasel will be trash. Hitmon mach ohko. gg

Thought I would provide a set and some stuff you need to put this guy into your guide since he just got moved down.

Hypno
BST: 483 (85/73/70/73/115/67)

- A great support user of a pokemon. It has several tricks up its sleeves and enough bulk to tank hits. It's ability Insomnia helps against Sleep Powder users for you to get it in for a free switch. Other than that, the lack of Rest/Recover is a little disappointing. It's only recovery option is Wish. But the rest of its movepool makes up for it.

[spoiler]

Support

Ability: Insomnia
Nature: Bold or Calm
EV Spread:

Bold 252 Defense/ 252 HP

Calm 52 Sp Def/ 200 Defense/ 252 HP

If you want to build a hefty special defence wall you can have it calm if you'd prefer that.

Item: Leftovers

Seismic Toss / Psychic
Thunder-Wave / Toxic

Wish
Protect /Reflect/ Light Screen/ Counter/ HP Ground

- Seismic toss is a decent option instead of psychic to help damage those dark types. This is the fairly standard set and you can just help heal or set up a screen or inflict status on your opponent. Then bring in something that can benefit from it like a sweeper.

No sudowoodo in the list :(

I use this gimmicky one

Sudowoodo

Impish/Relaxed/Adamant

252 HP and 152 Atk 104 Def or max Atk if you feel like it's not enough

Block

Counter

Rock Slide

Double Edge (only if Rock Head) / Explosion

The main purpose of this is to Block physical pokemons that think that can take on Sudowoodo. Very gimmicky and can be your downfall if you block the wrong pokemon, like a Poliwrath or Hitmontop.

Sudowoodo would be so much better if he was a Rock/Grass pokemon, kinda like Cradily

I'm just gonna drop this here... Have fun.

[spoiler]

Cancer trap staller Shuckle.

EVs: 252hp, split defs or 252 def/spdef, 4atk

Item: leftovers/chesto berry

Nature: relaxed/sassy/careful/impish

-Sand Tomb/Wrap

-Toxic

-Rest

-Encore/knock off/annoying stuff

Simple, trap shit, toxic, and laugh your ass off as you watch them die or at least take major toxic damage, or maybe force some heal bells, sand tomb does more damage than wrap and has a nice ground typing while wrap can hit flying types. Now seriously this is mostly for shits and giggles. But even in higher tiers, it can out-stall some stallers if played well. Although it may have trouble against hyper offensive teams if it doesn't have encore and requires decent prediction to set up.

Team Synergy: if you happen to have something that can pp stall stuff that could give shuckle a hard time with something like spite, or have some annoying disable set, this can be a pain to deal with if you do get trapped + encored and your super effective surf is disabled or out of pp.
