[Poem] Depression/A dead man's wife

This poem is to one of my friends, who has recently lost her husband.

 

A Dead Man's Wife...

 

A dead man's wife has been in strife

 

of her husbands life, stabbed by a knife,

 

her sorrow directed to darkness,

 

not to light, it must have been horrid,

 

to see such a sight, 

 

the people chatter, as the dead man splatters,

 

the tears that formed from this mess,

 

it didn't stop, but there was less,

 

"A dead man's wife", she whispers herself,

 

she tried to think it was for the best,

 

one more move, would put her to rest.
